Advanced Retreat: Presence-Based Coaching
October 27-29, 2008Graduates of any three day Art of Mindful Coaching retreat (either public or in-house) are invited. This retreat is based on Doug's forthcoming book from Jossey-Bass.
Presence is a state of expanded awareness and connectedness to what is around us. From presence spring forth the creative interpretations and new actions most generative in the particular world we each inhabit.
The retreat will focus on the development of coach presence through practices of mind, body, and heart. Simultaneously, we will explore how the coach, through his or her awareness, extends that presence to the client, evoking new possibilities. The result is self-generative coaches, self-generative clients, and a better world.
Participants will:
• experience presence through mind, body, and heart;
• develop practices that support each stage of self-generation;
• extend presence towards clients through specific means;
• develop a toolkit of presence-based coaching moves;
• receive coaching on a current topic of interest;
• structure powerful, integral development plans; and
• deepen your capabilities as an authentic coach.
Earlybird price is $975, including all materials, lodging, gourmet meals, and a one-on-one coaching call after the retreat. 22 ICF credit hours are available through the Institute of Life Coach Training at an extra cost of $200.
