Presence-Based Coach Training

Presence-Based Leadership Development offers training for experienced and new coaches as well as leaders committed to purposeful and meaningful action.  Each of these offerings will simultaneously support your personal development and professional effectiveness.

Our coach training curriculum is designed to offer robust presence-based coach training, grounded in an inclusive model of human development. The program develops coaches who are deeply committed to their own learning and development, to an inquiry-centered approach to coaching, to cultivating mindfulness and awareness in themselves and their clients, and to placing themselves in service to the growth and development of effective and compassionate leaders.

This curriculum is for discerning individuals who are seeking a top notch development experience with a small group in a face-to-face setting. The core of the training is delivered in three-day residential retreats at a beautiful retreat center in Asheville, NC. Additional reading, self-observations, telephone conferences, and observed audio reviews complete the coursework.

Designed for committed learners at any level of coaching experience, the curriculum is approved by the International Coach Federation for initial certification or renewal at ACC, PCC, or MCC levels.

testimonial-1

I thought I was signing up to hone my coaching skills when I first committed to working with Doug in Presence Based Coaching.  In the process I came to begin to discover my true self and thus began a fruitful journey towards becoming not only a more effective coach but also towards becoming a more effective human being; more aware and open to myself and to others as a person.  This growth has been very positive yet much of my "old story" still made itself present from time to time.

Over the six months of working with Doug and our cohort in LIPCC, I truly feel that I have achieved transformational change in myself which has influenced all aspects of my life.  Our cohort of ten phenomenal people gave so much of ourselves in our learning and in our contribution to each other.  Doug's gentle leadership and facilitation of our time together created an experiential environment in which I flourished, maybe for the first time in my life, as truly being who I am capable of being.
