winn's thread
Hi, Winn..
So, this is an experiment to see what I can do with this. I can put in a link, obviously. LiNK...
How can we do a thread? I enabled comments... see what happens if you reply. And, how do I set it up to generate a notivcation email for each post?

This seems like it could do what I'm interested in. THe model I saw had a separate section of the page that had links and documents. sort an easily accessed archive on the blog in which all kinds of files could be stored in one place. that would be significantly better than simply putting links at various points in the thread. However, the thread solves an element of it....

Could you send me a screen shot. I think we may be able to use a porlet for the links and documents. It would probably just show up anywhere in the clietns folder.

Problem is that the model I saw was private client blogs for another coach. I'd have to get her to do a screen shot and the contents are confidential.
Am interested in the portlet notion. IF my understanding is correct, then we'd have little portlets to the left that would contain all the links to docs in the archive, resource files, etc?
How do we get this to generate a notification email?
Seems like this has potential to be a very powerful tool.

Could you tell me more about the links. Are these links to pages on your site? Other websites? Both? PDFs? Word files?
All of the above probably.

Interesting that I can access other private pages I've put up without logging in, but this one requires a login. Is that b/c it's commentable?

The login is not required to view the page, only to make comments
